Coming up on Churspacious

From the 19th of April to the 31st of May, Churspacious posts will be about, ‘The New Normal‘. This is a chance to look at what is and isn’t essential in church and faith, and what things might/could/should look like for us after lock-down ends.

19th of April: 1 Corinthians 3: 10-18.

Have you ever noticed that churches are obsessed with their buildings? The People = The Church.

26th of April: Luke 19: 1-9.

Jesus affirms us so why are we so judgey? Jesus = Love.

3rd of May: John 5: 1-18.

Are we church every day, or just on Sundays? And what about self-care? Church = 24/7.

10th of May: Luke 10: 25-37.

What’s with the ‘us/them’ culture in churches? Church = for All.

17th of May: Mark 10: 17-27.

Why does freedom always seem to come with boxes and rules? Free = Free!

24th of May: 1 Corinthians 12: 12-26.

Can you ever really force someone else to change their mind? And should we? Diversity = Disagreement.

31st of May: Spirit.

There’s nothing wrong with Pentecost, but it’s a bit jargonny, so instead we will celebrate Spirit Day, followed by a Spirit Week. Watch this space!
